The stars of the show are the ravioles and the pognes. The former are
little squares of pasta with a special filling, while the latter are
rounded brioches flavoured with orange blossom.
The
raviole is eaten without sauce, just poached in water (1mm depth!), in a gratin or fried. You will find it on sale in specialist shops and butchers/delicatessens or on restaurant menus.
A prominent feature of any bakery, the pogne is enjoyed for breakfast or as a snack.
When it comes to flavours, the Drôme des Collines area also provides one of the most fabulous ranges of food that you could imagine with cold porks and hams, cheeses, nuts, nut oil, peaches, apricots and a whole panoply of farm produce.
Succumb to temptation and take an enjoyable
snack break in the heart of our area, which is highly esteemed for its local flavours.
